The Samsung i897 is a device that mirrors the Galaxy S and features a 4″ AMOLED touchscreen display, 5 megapixel camera and Android 2.1.

VERIZON WIRELESS TO ANNOUNCE TWO NEW MOTOROLA DROIDS IN JULY?

It appears that Motorola will expand its Android line-up next month. According to the folks at Wall Street Journal, Verizon Wireless will be promoting and launching two new Motorola Android smartphones. One of these handsets is expected to be the Motorola DROID Shadow which has been featured in several leaks in recent weeks. The other upcoming Motorola DROID handset remains a mystery.

HIGH-END ACER STREAM ANDROID SMARTPHONE NOW OFFICIAL

The Acer Stream Android smartphone made its debut at Google's I/O conference in San Francisco with a trio of Samsung smartphones. Now, Acer has officially announced the Stream via a press release. The new Acer Stream is a “high-end multimedia smartphone, optimized for watching movies, listening to music and enjoying web browsing like at home.” This upcoming Android smartphone offers high-end features including a 3.7″ WVGA touch-screen display, 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, 512 MB of RAM, and a 5 megapixel camera with 720p video recording.

T-MOBILE GARMINFONE RELEASE DATE: JUNE 9TH FOR $199.99

T-Mobile has announced the release date for its GPS-centric Android smartphone. The T-Mobile Garminfone from Garmin-Asus will be available at select locations starting June 9 for $199.99 after a $50 MIR on a 2-year contract.
